De-stress Cacao Berry Smoothie

How about a cacao berry smoothie to help you de-stress and chill out?


An anti-inflammatory diet doesn’t have to be boring! Whether you’re looking for a delicious recharge during the day, or to unwind with a treat when relaxing, you can’t go wrong with this cacao berry smoothie. 


Thanks to the super healthy ingredients, this smoothie is packed full of nutrients and healthy fats to support mental wellness, relaxation, and muscle restoration. Chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and avocado provide heart- and brain-healthy fats, while maple syrup and berries give this delicious smoothie an antioxidant boost. On top of that, this smoothie is loaded with naturally anti-inflammatory ingredients.


When you add in your RSO (or cannabis oil of your choice), this smoothie becomes the perfect way to take your medication. The de-stress, relaxant, and anti-inflammatory properties of your preferred strain of cannabis will pair perfectly with the benefits of this smoothie, giving you a healthy but delicious medicated cacao berry smoothie you’ll want to make again and again.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 avocado

  • 1c almond milk

  • 2 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 T cacao powder

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 1 tsp cannabutter or canna-oil

  • 3/4c frozen berries

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 T Cacao nibs

  • 1 T pumpkin seeds

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

  2. Serve immediately so it’s nice and thick – I like to top mine with cacao nibs and a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds. ** This recipe has 16.8mg of thc in it based on the cannabutter/canna-oil recipe above.
